Tournament Rules
Code of conduct
The USCC is committed to creating a safe and fair environment for all participants. Respect for the game, the opponents, staff and officials are a critical part of the environment that is created. All players, staff, officials and parents/spectators are required to maintain a sportsmanlike and educational atmosphere before, during and after all USCC games and/or any skate that you may be participating in.
Game Format
Round Robin Format:
- 3-minute warm up
- 3 13-minute periods
- OT is 3 person Shootout
- No timeouts
Playoff Format:
- 3-minute warm up
- 3 13-minute periods
- OT is a 5-minute 3v3, if still tied after 3v3 it will be a 3 person shootout
- 1 timeout per team
Game Rules:
- Max 6 goal differential
- Run clock in the 3rd period if a team is up 6, must bring it back within 2 to stop the clock.
- 3 points for a Win, 0 points for a loss, 1 point for a OT loss
Tie Breaker:
- Goal differential
- Goals Against
- Goals For
- Head to Head
Rules
The tournament will follow USA Hockey rules at each age classification with the exception of delayed offsides.
All games will be officiated by high level referees.
Miscellaneous
- USCC will not be responsible for any injury to teams and/or team members and/or supporters. We understand hockey is a game at injury can occur, but by participating you are doing so at your own risk with no coverage or insurance provided by USCC.
- USCC will not be held responsible for any lost or stolen items from the locker room or bench areas.
- Locker rooms and all areas of the arena and property are to be left in perfect condition. Failure to abide by this can result in dismissal of the USCC. If an individual sees an area in poor condition, please bring it to the attention of USCC or the rink immediately.
- A team refund for the USCC for any reason, is solely at the sole discretion of USCC. There is no refund guarantee for any circumstances.
